How to delete your account

Everything is done in the app — no website or support contact required.

Step by step

To delete your account and all associated data:

  1. Open the Yaz app and sign in with the account you want to delete.
  2. Go to Hub > Profile > Settings (gear icon in the top corner).
  3. Scroll to the "PRIVACY & SECURITY" section and tap "Delete my account".
  4. Read what will be erased and tap "Continue".
  5. On the confirmation screen, type the word EXCLUIR in uppercase and check the box "I understand this action is irreversible."
  6. Tap "Delete permanently".
  7. The "Your account has been deleted" screen confirms removal. Tap "Back to start" to exit.

Note: the keyword to type is EXCLUIR (Portuguese for "delete") regardless of device language. The server validates this exact literal to avoid mistakes.

What we erase

When you delete your account, we immediately and permanently remove:

  • Your profile, photo, and name.
  • Your facial registration (the encrypted mathematical representation of your face).
  • All posts and messages you sent in the Tribe.
  • Badges, passports, and expedition history.
  • Avatars, photos, and files uploaded to chats and galleries.
  • Push notification token (you stop receiving pushes immediately).
  • Your authentication record (email/login).

No website visit or support contact is needed. The entire deletion happens in the app.

Lost access to the app or device?

If you can no longer access the app (lost device, forgot password, no longer have the registered email), email contato@yazexperience.com.br from your registered email with subject [account deletion]. We will manually delete within 5 business days after verifying your identity.

Timing

In-app deletion is immediate. Operational disaster-recovery backups may retain copies for up to 30 days, after which they are overwritten. These backups are not accessible for any purpose other than disaster recovery.
